Professor of English at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, he is the book columnist of Great Lakes Life Magazine, makes frequent appearances in the book pages of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and lives in Erie with his wife, the visual artist Katherine Knupp, and their son, Dylan.  Kathy lounged on the porch swing reading the paper a warm
November Sunday as I dug the bed & pressed the bulbs in. What
luck! She stayed for dinner & in the morning, I caressed her awake,
