Expect delays

Dear Readers,

Most of you know that Seven Kitchens is a one-person operation. That person–I–have been facing very difficult challenges this year, most recently (and currently) the threat of losing my home.

My preference has always been to keep my personal stuff “behind the curtain,” but as events continue to diminish my ability to publish and distribute chapbooks, it’s only fair that I make a public announcement of my situation:

Expect delays. If you’ve ordered chapbooks, it may be several more weeks before I can get them assembled and mailed; if you’d like to check in about your order, send an email to sevenkitchens at yahoo. If you’re waiting for an upcoming title to be released, it could take months. And if you’re checking for results of the Becker, Keystone, or Arroyo series, please be patient: these, too, have been delayed.

And thank you all for your continued support.

Life is such a challenge. But speaking the truth about your situation is not only courageous, but it gives all of us out here a chance to carry you in our hearts and, in that way, support you if only that way. Peace and many blessings of a good resolution to all.

I’m sorry to hear about your difficulties, Ron. I hope you get to stay in the house where you’ve done such wonderful work on behalf of so many of us. If there’s anything I can do, please ask.

I’m sorry to hear about your problems, Ron. Take care of yourself first and foremost. Many of us have been where you seem to now be and we’ll simply want you to get your situation better. Don’t worry over the press and orders and other related stuff. You can take care of that later. Trust us to care about you.

Ron, I’m so sorry to learn you are going through this.  I’ll be sending you all my best wishes in hopes that the situation improves for you.  Wish I were a millionaire and could send as many dollars as good wishes headed your way.   Any possibility of you returning to teaching in some way to earn a bit more $?

Karen Jaquish Never give up.  This may be your moment for a miracle.

Ron — am thinking of you and wishing you well. If there is anything I can do in the way of proofreading a couple MS galleys or anything like that via email and scan/FAX, I’d be happy to help. Take care, AV
