New titles: Editor’s Series: Spring Bundle!
It’s a thrill to announce more new titles in our Editor’s Series. As you know, we’re about to release In the Outlaw’s House by Christina Pacosz and Arrow by Bruce Bond this month as the 9th and 10th title in Volume 3 of the series. These will be followed by #11, Trevor Ketner’s Negative of a Photo of Fire and #12, Diane Scholl’s Salt, both due out in March. Also in March, we’ll launch Volume 4 with Christopher Nelson’s Love Song to the New World. Then, in June (drumroll, please?), we’ll publish Edison Dupree’s Boy with a Ball and Rogan Kelly’s Demolition in the Tropics.
Why not grab all seven titles with a special Spring Bundle offer? From now through March 15, we’re offering all seven chapbooks, shipping included, for $50. (Chapbooks will be shipped upon date of publication, so your bundle will arrive in installments; please check the Seven Kitchens Press website for publication updates.)
Please join us in celebrating these seven poets!
Pushcart nominations
This was so hard, y’all. Though I’ve tried to sit down in past years and select nominations for the Pushcart Prizes, I’ve always given up, too overwhelmed by leaving out too many deserving poets. But that does not serve your work, and I’m here to serve your work. So, after some measure of agonizing (I wish I could nominate another dozen), I am proud to announce our first-ever Pushcart nominations:
- Guillermo Filice Castro, “Before April,” from Mix Tape for a War
- Melissa Atkinson Mercer, “The Memory Instrument,” from After the Miracle Season
- JeFF Stumpo, “The Hulk’s Lamentation,” from Against Itself Cannot Stand
- Wayne Johns, “Last Testament,” from The Exclusion Zone
- Robin Reagler, “Air Ships,” from Dear Red Airplane
- Beverly Voigt, “Pittsburgh: The Fourth River,” from Woman of Salt
