Since launching the Summer Kitchen Series back in 2010, I’ve always hand-picked the featured titles from manuscripts that didn’t quite make it into our other series. This year, just to shake things up, we’re going to open up to direct submissions for this series. And we’re doing it right now.
Now through February 28, you can send your chapbook manuscript to be considered for the 2019 Summer Kitchen Series. At least three titles may be selected, and the chapbooks will appear this summer in our limited-edition series: 49 copies are printed, the poets get 25, and the press offers up the rest to our eager fans.
Summer Kitchen titles, unlike the rest of our catalog, do not receive ISBNs and the print run does not exceed 49 copies: when they’re gone, they’re gone.
Titles in this series feature covers designed from vintage and antique fabrics; here is a mock-up of one cover we expect to produce this year:

How do I send my manuscript? you ask. It’s easy. Just email your doc file to sevenkitchenspress@gmail.com with the subject line Summer Kitchen Series. You can check out full guidelines here. And remember: this window closes at midnight on February 28–so send us your work now!
