Back in 2007, Seven Kitchens Press launched with a modest, hand-made chapbook: Harry Humes’ Underground Singing, selected by Jeff Mann for the inaugural Keystone Chapbook Prize. It’s a title that holds up well today, and we’re grateful to Harry for helping us lead off with such a memorable chapbook.
So it’s a huge thrill to release the 15th chapbook in the Keystone Series (and our 100th title!): Remorse Code, demi-sonnets by Erin Murphy. Thanks so much to Ellen McGrath Smith for selecting this title.
We’ve closed out March with the second of two new chapbooks: Sam Pittman’s Mostly Water, which had its launch reading in Pittsburgh on March 31. Selected by Dan Vera and Ron Mohring as Number 6 in the Rane Arroyo Chapbook Series and featuring a gorgeous cover designed by Sam himself, Mostly Water is available now!
The first of two new chapbooks we’re bringing out this month is Boyer Rickel’s Musick’s Hand-Maid, a crown of elegiac sonnets, as Number 6 in Volume 3 of our Editor’s Series. Boyer’s also just released a new title, Tempo Rubato, in the Green Linden Chapbook Series (read more here); his earlier chapbook, reliquary, is still available from Seven Kitchens here.

Rounding out the month of February and back by popular demand, we’re proud to release the new edition of Robin Reagler’s Dear Red Airplane, which originally appeared in 2011 as part of our Summer Kitchen Series. That edition sold out practically overnight, and it’s our joy to make this fresh, new edition available, featuring an introduction by Laura Mullen.
