Summer Kitchen Series #4: Richard K Kent | Ice Carver

Just wanted to share the news that Sierra Golden’s chapbook, Aristotle’s Lantern, sold through its initial print run in August and is now in a second printing. Thanks to everyone who continues to support this title, and congratulations to Sierra.
If you didn’t catch it, Will Woolfitt has an interview with Sierra about her chapbook over at Speaking of Marvels. Thanks, Will!
You may know that, as of last November 8, I dedicated 10% of all Seven Kitchens Press sales to be donated back to a worthwhile cause. Our first recipients were the Trevor Project, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU. Most recently, donations have been in the form of needed supplies for other small and micro presses. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, we will be donating ten percent of all sales received in the months of September and October to the Houston Food Bank.
Please do what you can, in any way you can, to reach out to folks in need.
Update: As of September 18, the amount set aside for the Houston Food Bank is $29.58 and counting. Thank you all.

We are closing out August with the remaining three titles in our limited-edition Summer Kitchen Series. Announcing Number 3 in this year’s series, Dead Letter Office at North Atlantic Station by Steve Bellin-Oka. Only 24 copies will be sold by the press; the author gets the other 25.
It’s not escaped my attention that I am always saying I’m thrilled to release a new chapbook, but, folks, I am very much that–thrilled–to announce the publication of Drinking the Pink by Priscilla Atkins, Number 2 in this year’s Summer Kitchen Series and the 21st title in that very-limited-edition series. Only 24 copies will be sold by the press; the author gets the other 25.

It’s a joy to announce the publication of Alec Hershman’s chapbook, The Egg Goes Under, the twentieth title in our Summer Kitchen Series and Number One in our 2017 series. These chaps are very limited–only 24 copies will be sold by the press. Come show us your love by ordering your copy now!
We are currently accepting submissions for the ReBound Series, which brings a wider readership to out-of-print chapbooks by printing them in snazzy, new, editions. Anyone may nominate an out-of-print chapbook, and you also have the opportunity to write an introductory preface to the new edition. Full guidelines are here. You can also browse (and order!) any of the titles in this important series.
Here’s a peek at the proof copy going out today of Alec Hershman’s The Egg Goes Under, number one in this year’s Summer Kitchen Series. Only 24 copies will be available from the press (only 49 copies will be printed), so get ready to order yours!

We’re thrilled to announce the release of JeFF Stumpo’s El Océano y la Serpiente / The Ocean and the Serpent, Number 7 in our ReBound Series. Originally published in 2004 by Zenane Independent Media and printed by Tabula Rasa Press, this new edition has been long in the works. Get your copy here.
